Making stellar wine is the sole focus at Bodega Septima, a pristine winery situated in the acclaimed Mendoza winemaking district of Argentina.

Founded in 1999, the winery was the seventh (in Spanish “septima”) winery introduced by the Codorníu Group, known for their world-famous cava and still wines from Spain, Napa and Argentina. Imported exclusively by Aveníu Brands, Septima produces authentic wines that are modern, with a nod to tradition. Their monovarietal line is perfect for everyday drinking, while their newly introduced Gran Reserva ranks among the best of Mendoza’s ultra-premium wines.

Wines

Septima Gran Reserva

Septima Gran Reserva is made with grapes grown in the upper region of the Mendoza River and Uco Valleys from three vineyards planted between 2,800 and 3,600 feet above sea level. The four wines that are blended for this Gran Reserva aged separately in French and American oak barrels for about 12 months. Elegant and balanced, Septima Gran Reserva reveals warm and sweet notes, with solid tannic structure followed by good body and balance with oak flavors. Red fruit jam and lasting oak flavors in the aftertaste.

Septima Malbec

Septima Malbec is a beautiful red wine from the esteemed Uco Valley of Argentina. Baked, barbecued, grilled or roasted chicken and pork as well as veal and red meats pair nicely with Malbec.

Septima Cabernet Sauvignon

Hand harvested in cool morning hours, the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is crushed and placed in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Pleasant and well-rounded on the front palate with hints of cherries and strawberries. Powerful sweet tannins fill the mouth and finish with hints of an aftertaste of smoky oak. Good length on the palate with a well-structured and agreeable finish.

Septima Tempranillo

The native Spanish varietal, Tempranillo, is not usually grown in Argentina. Septima wanted to honor its parent company, Grupo Codorníu, by planting the varietal in its vineyards. Hand harvested in the cool morning hours, the Tempranillo fruit is crushed and placed in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Tempranillo's fruity character makes it perfect for accompanying roasted or baked meats.

Septima Syrah

Septima Syrah is a wine with a lot of personality. It is estate grown and produced with its varietal character in mind. The Syrah vineyards are located in the Agrelo region of Lujan de Cuyo, 3,400 feet above sea level. Melted snow flows from the Andes and irrigates the vineyards with fresh water. The sweet tannins of this wine pair well with roast beef, steak and hamburger. Rack of lamb and pork spare ribs also match nicely with this easy to drink red wine.

Septima Chardonnay

Hand harvested in cool morning hours, the Chardonnay was whole-clustered, pressed to retain maximum fruitiness and delicacy, and placed in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The fruit flavors of this un-oaked Chardonnay make it perfect for accompanying appetizers such as baked goat cheese, smoked fish or shellfish.
